Ann Oswald
AND
Hard Drive Country
Ann is a native of Philadelphia, Pa and she spent much of her pre-teen years there giving concerts to her neighbors. She moved to the Jersey Shore during her teenage years, and during that period Ann spend hours performing and writing original compositions. Other professional and personal interests caused Ann to focus her attention elsewhere during her early twenties but, those pursuits could not indefinately detach her from her music.
Ann has performed in Nashville at The Bluebird, Douglas Cafe, The French Quarter, The Blues Hide-Away, and Te Beaux's Cafe. Fans everywhere agree, "Her top priority is to provide her audience with an enjoyable and memorable performance."
"Out Of The Blue", Ann's first CD, was released in March 2002. Audiences responded enthusiastically to the CD and it continues to steadily sell at personal appearances as well as on the internet. The fan's reaction to this CD has led to the recording of Ann's second CD. "Waiting For The Fall" was produced in Nashville by Doug Stone (Stone Age Productions) and it is appropriately scheduled for release this fall.
Since 1997, Ann has been performing in Nashville, and throughout New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania with the band "Hard Drive Country". This four member group is equally comfortable performing an up tempo kicker or a passionate ballad. They present a repertoire that includes cover tunes by such artists as The Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Melissa Etheridge, and Lee Ann Womack as well as skillfully written material composed by Ann.
